2026 NC NBHA State Finals

Event sponsor apparel can be worn during the Open Go-Rounds in lieu of western attire. The apparel goes on sale October 1st @ 7pmand closes on November 8th at 11:59pm.

Order your 2026 NC NBHA State Finalist jacket! This year we are offering two color options! These can be shipped to you or picked up at State Finals. All orders placed PRIOR TO OCTOBER 9TH will be available for pick up at the show!

• Online entries and reservations open October 12th at 7pm EST.
• Online pre-entries close on November 22nd, at midnight EST. Entries received after the deadline until the first horse runs in the class with a $30 late fee per rider.
• A 70% refund, less the processing fee, will be issued for scratch requests made between November 23 - December 5, 2026, and must include a valid Vet/Med note. All Vet/Med outs need to be emailed to justinhill1998@gmail.com. 
• A full refund will be granted to scratch requests made prior to November 22, 2026 at midnight EST.
• NO refunds on entries after December 5, 2026. 
• Exhibitions and Warmups will be sold online Monday, December 7th at 7pm EST.

• 12 Month negative coggins required for ALL horses.
• 30 Day Health Certificate for all OUT OF STATE horses.
• Paperwork is subject to being checked by state veterinarians and/or their representatives. Please be prepared.

• The facility will open at 8am sharp on Thursday, December 10th.
• No early arrivals. No exceptions.

• Personal golf carts, utility vehicles and crickets permitted.
• NO golf carts, crickets, or other motorized vehicles are allowed in the barns. First offense= Warning. Second offense= Disqualification.

• Please complete and submit the Vendor Registration form found on our website.

• To be eligible to compete in the NC NBHA State Finals all participants must have competed in three NC NBHA sanctioned shows as an active member within their declared district from November 17, 2025 until December 9, 2026.
• Direct any qualification concerns to your District Director, immediately.

• The Open has $4,500 added to each long-go and $6,000 added to the Finals. The Senior championship round has $1,500 added. The Youth championship round has $3,000 added.

• The Senior and Youth 4D are a 1 long-go championship round.
• There are no rollover options. Any contestant who qualifies for the Open Championship Round in the Open First Go may choose to turn out of the Open Second Go by notifying the show office.
• The Open 4D will consist of 2 long-go rounds and a Finals. Open Round 2 will run in reverse order beginning with the addons. It will be a clean slate short go. If a rider qualifies in both go-rounds on the same horse, they will only make 1 run on a qualifying horse and show management will drop down to the next qualifying rider in the division of Round 2 to advance to Finals. A minimum of 15 qualifiers from each division from each go-round will advance to the Finals. The State Director reserves the right to take more contestants back to the finals in any given class after reviewing # of entries in the class. This will be posted and advertised prior to the start of the class.
• Dress Code for Open long-go rounds will be a NC State Show Sponsor T-Shirt, Christmas Attire, or Western Attire. Sponsor t-shirts are by pre-order only and must be picked up prior to your first run at the show office. 
• Senior, Youth, and Open championship rounds and awards require a cowboy hat or helmet, long sleeve collared shirt, jeans, and boots.
• The No Penalty side pot is open to anyone entering in the Open long-go rounds and gives the contestant a chance to earn money with a hit barrel but completed pattern!
• The Two-Shot Slot Race is open to anyone entering in the Open long-go rounds. The contestant's best time from the two Open long-go rounds will be rolled into the sidepot. The Two-Shot Slot Race open sidepot is a 4D with a 90% payback. 
• Payback on all classes, except the Two-Shot Slot Race, will follow NBHA rules, i.e. Total number of entries determines the number of payback positions. The purse is equal to all entry fees minus 30%, plus 100% of the added money.

• Senior, Youth, and Open championship rounds and awards require a cowboy hat or helmet, long sleeve collared shirt, jeans, and boots.
• The Senior and Youth 4D are a 1 long-go championship round.
• A minimum of 15 qualifiers from each division from each go-round will advance to the Finals. The State Director reserves the right to take more contestants back to the finals in any given class after reviewing # of entries in the class. This will be posted and advertised prior to the start of the class. 

• Stalls and RVs are non-refundable. You may privately sell them with notification to the state director by EMAIL at justinhill1998@gmail.com or by TEXT at (910) 705-6900.
• NO outside shavings are allowed. This is a facility rule.

• Tie-out/haul-ins are allowed at $10/horse per day.
• Haul-ins must pay for all horses on the trailer, No exceptions.

• Exhibitions and Warmups are non-refundable. You may privately sell them with notification to the state director by EMAIL at justinhill1998@gmail.com or by TEXT at (910) 705-6900.
• Exhibitions will be limited to TWO per horse. For example, if you enter two horses, then you may purchase four exhibitions. No refund will be granted for purchasing excess amounts.
• No purchase limit of Warm Ups.
• You may purchase warmups and exhibitions for the same horse. 
• Exhibitions will have a time limit of 60-seconds each.
• Warmups will be in 25-minute intervals with 15 riders and barrels. Please be respectful of other riders.
